2015 Project
100 Day Series inspired by artist and author @ElleLuna, who began this project over 3 years ago on Instagram. The challenge has become very popular over the years. I began this project back in 2015, each year has been the same intent - painting per day under 20 minutes (or oftentimes less). The only intent is to get back into the practice of intuitive painting.
Series began April 6 - July 14, 2017.
This was my first exploration into the 100 days project. As I look back, there was a lot of exploration and collage, playing around with patterned backgrounds, found paper etc. By far, one of my favorites is after coming back from my trip to Colorado, the landscape watercolors hautingly capture the memory of water, rock, mountains and vistas from memory. I only took pencils and watercolor again for easy access/flexibility. As I continue on in the next few years, there's seems to be a strong theme of travel = new creativity. I should remember that!
PLEASE NOTE: each painting/sketch is approximately 12x9, 10x10 or 12x18 and then as it gets to be the latest 30 days, the sizes are larger 17x11, 18x12, etc. The "grid" format to display cuts off parts of each painting image but because this seems to be the best way to display all 100 images together, I decided it was OK to give the idea of the image but unfortunately, most of these paintings are NOT square but Portrait Size.
